I would just like to warn you about the quality of the default graphics cards with those computers. If you are buying these computers for gaming, video editing, etc. you will need to buy the more expensive graphics card in the desktop or an uprade with the notebook. Try to buy a dedicated card instead of an integrated card. This just means that the card uses its own memory instead of the computer's memory. The 256MB PCI-E Nvidia Geforce you listed is a dedicated card.New computer upgrade advice?

dell deals are often posted there.
do you know any one who works are millatary?
aafes.com have great deals on dell.
Not really sure what you're looking for here, but both listed above are great choices. Whether it's worth upgrading depends on what you're upgrading from.
If your old PC is more than 3 years old, then the Pentium D might make a big difference. However, keep in mind that the Pentium D's are outdated already. They run a lot hotter than their newer cousin - the Core 2 Duo - which blows everything out of the water.
The laptop choice is great compared to ANY laptop you owned before. That's actually got a Core 2 Duo (T2350) which is pretty freakin' fast! Even though it says 1.86GHz, it would crush a Pentium D 3.0GHz with ease. Another plus is battery life. Since the Core 2 Duo is blazing fast at low speeds, it doesn't suck much power like older mobile CPUs did.
well since your choice is dell,, check their as advertised tv section, im on there almost every day and that section has the best deals and the lowest prices,,,
