I want to move to New Zealand.... Any advice?

I do not have a skilled trade. I'm working towards becoming a paramedic gaining experience in a caring environment. Is it possible I could move to New Zealand, get a job and work towards that there?

I am a very hard worker, I have alot of experience working on farms and am very good at general manual labour. I currently work in a call centre so am also experienced in customer services.

Do you think i have a chance of being able to get a visa and move to New Zealand? All advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

if your job and duties fit into any of the jobs in demand for NZ then you can apply. That does not mean you will be approved.

If they do NOT fit, then you will not be eligible to apply.I want to move to New Zealand.... Any advice?
Like us, many countries are worried about immigration, even from ';white'; nations. But you can only know if you try. Make sure you keep your nose out of trouble (no police record), get some qualifications (e.g. an ambulance paramedic qualification would help), and show that you have taken the trouble to learn about the country and care about it.

Chronic health condition as a new employee. Any advice?

I have been diagnosed with a brain cyst in my left frontal lobe. I am becoming more symptomatic with facial swelling and eyebrow drooping. I never know when migraine activity is going to happen to sometimes full blown migraines. My co-workers see these symptoms in my face often and comment about the swelling under my eyes. It has simply been difficult to hide. I have surgery on the horizon and the consult to see a neuro-surgeon are in process.

I've been on time and work very hard. Mind you, this is retail at Whole Foods vitamins department. I informed my boss of the condition which was not this symptomatic when I applied there a month ago.

I am terribly embarrassed since they had high expectations for me. Now they are informing corporate and the coverage department of the store in the event something should happen which is supposed to be in my best interest. However, I feel like they probably don't want me there with my medical issues.

Can anyone give me advice about how corporations view this? Whether or not I should just level with them and ask if they would like me to resign? I dislike the idea of having to take a leave of absence as a new person in a few months. Any perspectives on this sort of thing--politically speaking? Chronic health condition as a new employee. Any advice?
Take a careful look at the company's HR health related policies. Some companies have a three-month probationary period for which they can let you go ';without cause';. There may also be a waiting period for health insurance (you haven't mentioned whether you need this or not).

Whole Foods is a fairly hard place to get a job. They are known for being a good employer. If you feel really uncomfortable at the local level I would ask to speak with an HR representative from corporate.

This sort of thing happens - people are people. I would definitely NOT resign but I would definitely vocalize my willingness to do whatever I could to work with the company. Tell them that you are eager to contribute and certainly didn't anticipate these issues; the sooner you can get it resolved medically the sooner you can be a real asset to the store.

You might consider buying a pair of just clear lens glasses and wear them to help hide your facial issues. If people ask, just tell them the truth within reason. Chronic health condition as a new employee. Any advice?
do not resign... wait and see if they pay you time off..... take care of yourself...thats whatcorporations are there for to pay your time off... myhusband is a photographer for a big corp and he had cancer surgery and is on 6 mos medical leave

Threats from my ex's new gf...need advice!?

My ex and I have shared custody of our daughter for 2 years now. His new girlfriend of 7 months made him change his number a few months ago b/c she didnt like the fact that we still talked (discussions about our daughter only). I have not spoken to him since before Christmas. Everytime we need to meet up with our daughter or discuss anything regarding her, I've have to go through the new girlfriend. She's very hard to deal with, she lashes out, is very controlling and tries to make all custody decisions. I've come to the point to where I have had enough so I stopped answering her calls/texts and told her that I will only talk to my ex from now on so if he needs anything he will need to contact me directly. I was tired of all my messages being exaggerated and relayed the wrong way. This girl loves drama and all I want to do is keep the peace and be civil. After 4 months of no direct communication, my ex called me last night (from her cell) and told me he will give me the number to the house phone only so I can speak to him if I need to. I told him that was fine as long as I dont have to talk to his girlfriend. So just when I finally feel a bit of relief, she sends me a text this morning saying that I MUST go through her for everything and if I dont then they will not work with me and will make things very crappy for me. Anyway, are there any legal actions I can take against this? Its so stupid and immature. They also just bought a house together, so as of now I have no idea where my daughter is living when she is not with me and I still do not have his cell number.Threats from my ex's new gf...need advice!?
Sounds like you and your ex had things settled out before *****-zilla got involved. Now that he wants her in his life, he has made the decision for you to get this custody arrangement permanent in court. On top of that, I think it's time he paid child support. You also have a right to know where your daughter is. Get the address immediately, or I would think it's considered kidnapping...

Talk to a lawyer today, immediately. Save the text messages she is sending you so the court can see how hostile she is. She does not have any custody rights to your child, so she should not be involved. Take solice in the fact that this guy is getting in way deep with a woman that is going to make him miserable.Threats from my ex's new gf...need advice!?
Time to talk to an attorney. Don't delete any of her or your text messages.
Contact a lawyer and get into court unless you want to keep dealing with this witch.
Are your custody arrangments thru the court? If not, I don't believe you have a legal recourse.

You need to tell your ex firmly that you will speak to him and only him regarding your daughter. His girlfriend has no legal stake in the matter and is irrelevant to the situation.

Also, I would not place the welfare of your child in the hands of his girlfriend. Legally, you have the right to know the whereabouts of your daughter at all times, even during visitiation.
Tell your ex to get a spine.

This is his child. The girlfriend is a nobody as far as your child is concerned. You don't have to deal with her.

Is there a formal custody agreement? If there is, your ex has notify you where he is living.

Tell your boyfriend that you will not have any more communications with his girlfriend concerning your daughter. All communications has to be directly between the two of you only. If he wants to bring her up to date, he has to do it himself.

Good luck
Call a lawyer and buy a notebook. Keep very very detailed records of everything that happens with them that is pertinent to your daughter.Make sure to keep track of and never to delete any messages you get from her, especially if they are creepy
One can certainly understand why ex is ex! Sheesh! Yes, there's quite a bit you can do here. Write a one-pager to ex explaining simply that the court order granting custody requires the two of you to communicate absent any proviso regarding or indeed any mention of his housemate. If he is unable to comply with those terms, either because of HM's unwelcome intervention or any other reason, suggest that you will be pleased to seek legal recourse to address the matter. And also, of course, ignore HM. If you absolutely have to speak with her, advise her that custody arrangements are a matter exclusively between the parents but that if she has a question about child's care while in her home that you would be more than pleased to provide information. Add if you can that you're grateful for her care of your child and that child is genuinely fond of her. You must be firm but keep the door open as she, too, has some responsibility for your child in her home and it SURE doesn't sound like pop is any too accountable!

My cat is scratching my new leather furniture! Advice please?????

I just noticed some holes in my leather sofa from the cat. We really don't want to get the cat declawed, but we payed $3000 for our furniture. Our cat is inside and out through the doggy door. We have 2 small dogs, so if we lock the doggy door, the dogs wouldn't be able to go out and pee pee.

I read on the internet about a product called soft paw nail caps, but it sound kind of ridiculous, and hard to apply!

I'm desperate for some answers! My cat is scratching my new leather furniture! Advice please?????
OH MY GOD. Please. Give me a break. You know, when I tried to research declawing online, all I could find was a bunch of dramatic claims about how horrible your cat will become, and insane PETA and ALF nut jobs telling me im evil, and as so many people here seam to think, ';cruel'; if I declaw.

I say... BULL.

I've had 8 cats in my life, some while living with my parents when younger, two my sisters, and my own.

EVERY ONE WAS DECLAWED. and EVERY ONE WAS PERFECTLY FINE.

I just had my two kittens done. They are perfectly fine. As a matter of fact, they have been soooo much more affectionate since the procedure.

So people around here need to come off their high horses, get over it, and stop claiming to know what your cat is thinking.

The study that claims that declawed cats have more behavioral problems and are more likely to end up back in shelters because of those problems, was done on 150 cats. Thats a pathetic statistical sample of the MILLIONS of cats and declawed cats in the U.S. alone.

People need to stop talking like they sat down with a room full of cats and had a conversation on the subject.

I would be willing BET ANYTHING that EVERY PERSON IN HERE who is bemoaning the procedure as cruel and inhumane has never had the procedure done on a cat, and that they are just giving you second, third, thirty-third hand accounts, most of which are likely based on the same pathetic ';study'; (term used loosely, and PETA propaganda.

I saw and interview with the national head of the SPCA who explained that PETA has done more harm to the animal rights movement than almost any organization outside the cattle industry. They are glory hounds, and attention seekers. They have marginalized the entire movement, and made it easier for lawmakers to dismiss the thousands of people here who work hard, and honestly, on behalf of animals. So please. Consider your sourcesMy cat is scratching my new leather furniture! Advice please?????
you can give it a cane ball
There is this stuff called Sticky Paws it is a special sticky coded paper that you put on your couches-it does no damage to the couch-but it makes the cats claws stick to it and eventually the cat gives up...It worked wonders on my cat!!!
get a sctatching post and train your cat to use it get its paws and show him how to use it and encourage this action my cat uses his every time he has eaten or walkes into the room it is in he is very good
Cats have scent glands on their paws, so when they begin to scratch somewhere, it leaves a smell that says ';scratch here';. This is why it's worth the time and effort to encourage your cat to use a scratch post, because once they start to use it, they always will. They also have individual preferences for what they enjoy scratching, so provide a few alternatives; a sisal post, corrugated cardboard or even a wooden log, until you find one that they will use. I know you don't really want to, but you will have to temporarily cover your sofa while your cat learns to use the scratch post, because as long as they can smell their claw scent, they will think the sofa is the right place to scratch. Place the scratch post next to the area of the sofa where they scratch and once they begin using the scratch post on a regular basis you can remove the protective covering from your sofa.

The web site below has advice on encouraging your cat to use a scratch post.

http://www.catscratching.com/

The web site below has lots of helpful advice and suggestions on ways to prevent cats from scratching furniture, wallpaper etc.

http://www.celiahaddon.co.uk/pet%20probl鈥?/a>

Be patient, it can take some cats longer than others to get the idea, but it really is worth persevering with the training.
cats usually don't like loud noises, so when you cat goes near the couch just raise your voice and say NO or CLAWS and the cat will stop. If this doesn't work then i suggest you use a spray bottle, and everytime your cat goes to scratch the couch you spray them. They'll catch on pretty quick!
http://www.softclaws.com/

PLEASE DON';T DECLAW

Before you make the decision to declaw your cat, there are some important facts you should know. Declawing is not like a manicure. It is serious surgery. Your cat's claw is not a toenail. It is actually closely adhered to the bone. So closely adhered that to remove the claw, the last bone of your the cat's claw has to be removed. Declawing is actually an amputation of the last joint of your cat's ';toes';. When you envision that, it becomes clear why declawing is not a humane act. It is a painful surgery, with a painful recovery period. And remember that during the time of recuperation from the surgery your cat would still have to use its feet to walk, jump, and scratch in its litter box regardless of the pain it is experiencing.
There has been a lot of people saying there something about cats and leather furniture they love to scratch and claw it. Try a spay called Feliway you can get it at the vet or order it on line. I don't know if it will help but try it any way or talk to the vet while there about it. You most likely get free advice

.
Soft paws DEFINITELY! Works like a charm and they come in really fun colors!

Really easy to apply actually and they can stay on for 2 months or longer.

A very good solution and much kinder than declawing.
well other than that the only other thing to do is by a spray for your couch that repels cats, or get covers, i think u can make ur own stuf to!

do you work for lydia clad.?

never mind, i thought u were some one else.if u live neer a beach go and get some drift wood. for the cat to scratch.

  • Canon Rebel XSi vs. the new Nikon D5000, advice needed.?

Hi guys. I am looking to get a new dslr. I have some basic experience with photography and I understand the main components such as aperture, shutterspeed, iso, wb etc etc. I have experience with my friends nikon slr and now i'm looking to get my own slr.

There are two cameras I'm considering, the canon rebel XSi and the nikon D5000. I know there is a new rebel T1i but that is too much for me, the D5000 is the top of my budget limit. The D5000 is also 200ish more than the XSi. But I don't like the fact that D5000 won't autofocus on lenses unless they are AF-S, because I want a 50 mm f/1.8 and it won't autofocus on that. But i do like the faster fps, higher iso, build quality and movie mode as a bonus.

Which body would you get and why? Thanks for help.Canon Rebel XSi vs. the new Nikon D5000, advice needed.?
You have answered your own question. The D5000 doesn't have the auto focus motor in the camera body so you have to use the very small selection of Nikon lenses created for it if you want auto focus. All the great Nikon glass, the primes like the 50 1.8 and their top zooms won't work. And you can forget about any of the other brands like Tamron or Sigma.

The D40, D60 and now the D5000 are made for people who are going to leave the camera in full auto mode.

The XSI on the other hand is full featured. It has the same Digic III processor with 14-bit processing as their top of the line cameras. All of the Canon EOS lenses will work. The 50 1.8 is a wonderful lens and it cost about $89. The L series lenses are among the best in the world.

The bottom line is you get access to the entire Canon system as well as other lens makers. Both camera's are going to give you a great image so your choice comes down to personal preference. I'm biased, I shoot with the XSI so keep that in mind.

    Tim

http://www.timothylittle.comCanon Rebel XSi vs. the new Nikon D5000, advice needed.?
Tim's answer is full of misinformation. It is very untrue to say that Nikon offers only a ';very small selection'; of lenses created for it. It is outright false to advise the original poster to forget about Tamron and Sigma. D5000 has same image quality as D90, but with an articulating screen.

i had the same problem about a week ago. but i finally made up my mind and got the rebel sxi. and dude im telling you thats its a freaking sick camera man. im getting into photography myself. and this camera is just perfect. it takes rapid pictures and they all come out clear.

i strongly suggest the rebel. i also couldnt afford the new rebel. but the sxi is so bad *** dude. get it.
I will be honest with you, if your friend uses Nikon and you plan to go shooting together then maybe it would be a good idea to also get a Nikon. You could trade and swap lenses and accessories and he could offer you advice and troubleshoot problems you may have.

As far as the D5000 goes, do not buy it for the movie mode. I have had to explain many times on here how terrible video modes are on DSLR's. No AF so you have to manually focus, you need to be tripod mounted because camera shake is magnified greatly etc etc... I would recommend saving up a bit more for the D90 but if the D5000 is your limit then so be it, it looks like a nice camera.

(How about that, sound Nikon advice and I'm a Canon owner. Not everybody needs to push their own brand on others ;o) )

Can anyone give me advice for making new friends?

i just need more help making new friends, cause i only have like 2 friends so... im kinda shy when it comes to making new friends. Can anyone give me advice for making new friends?
The best way that I know of is to maybe join a club or after school activity that interests you. That way you will meet people with like interests. Then all you need to do is just be yourself. If someone was meant to be your friend, they will like you for you, and not who they think you should be. Also, don't try something just because the crowd you're with is doing it. I've learned the hard way, that doesn't work either. Good luck and God Bless, hon!Can anyone give me advice for making new friends?
    share a joke

smile and always bring a smile with you
Dude is right! Smile! That is an invitation to be friends. Picture some scowling, hateful look like most kids seem to wear...they don't look very ';friendly';, do they? Then picture the ones that smile. They look nice, huh? So will you if you just smile. Say hi to people, and smile.

It seems like people nowadays think they are not supposed to look other people in the eye, and they are supposed to act like zombies. It is sad. It is ignorant!

The world should be one big family . If everybody would act friendly it could be one big family! Do what you can to promote it.
Same here! You can e my new friend.
Yeah... you're quite the same as I do. I'm quite shy to make friends(face to face)

But know I found a new way to find some more friends:

maybe you can click on somebody's profile in Yahoo! Answers and then email them...
If you're over 18, you can join things like Yahoo 360 or Myspace. But if you're under 18, you can start conversations w/kids at school.
Spend more time out. Go to the malls, movies, different stores. Start conversations with people when you get eye contact. Basically just say hi to people when they look at you in your eyes for more than 3 seconds. GUARANTEED you'll get more friends
advice depends if your child or adult. If child, make friends with people your age and you see regularly anyways, school chums, but avoid stanger adults or adults trying strange offers. With school pals or neighbours be brave, and just say hi and smile, and be respectful and polite. Ask your acquaintances to let you join in their activities, or invite them into your activities, Join sports or other school clubs, not gangs though. Support someone who gets hurt or embarrassed, they'll become good friends, and maybe support for you when you need it too. Friendship is just something that happens out of that attitude and behaviour.

If your adult, also, need to be brave, have respect in your heart and smile and say hi often, even if just for practice. Sometimes more than just practice happens, they smile back. Let respect and care live in your heart, start a conversation and let it take its course. Talk about concerns and cares or just talk just any topic or let more interesting or more talkative subjects develop. Offer help if any way you could help at all at anything, Always let care and respect live in your heart as you converse. Shake hands before departing. Ask for contact phone or email before leaving each other, before you miss the chance to contact again. Later, ask to meet or share outings etc...

Have patience, and good humour too.

Oh, and one thing for sure, although it may seem unconventional advice, don't buy into that ';shy'; label. If others call you shy, ignore it, If you acted shy in the past, don't worry about it, let yourself grow out of it. If you feel shy, never mind it. Just let respect and care live in your heart and be positive and do those things listed above. Friendships will be a by-product, but nonetheless, still the achievement of your aim.
be friendly, smile, go up to people in a bar or at the movies and say hi.
don't- friends are very unimportant, don't waste your time
My advice for you to making friends is to be yourself. Trust me, it is so much better to have friends who love you for who you are than what you are acting like. And, yes I am shy too... but learn to open up. Show them that you are more than just a shy person by showing your inner humor, talents, and personality. Talk to people. Any conversation is good... except sick and disgusting stuff or things that would make them uncomfortable. What else? Hmm... oh, and maybe meeting your friend's friends. Just the same as making new friends, but with an old friend to introduce you to them. Well, hope I helped. Buh bye! =)

Where should I open a new checking account?!! advice!!?

I have a Wamu account which I will be closing soon. There's not many banks around my house. I have 5/3 bank, %26amp; Lasalle nearby. I would like to open a new account strictly to use on ebay and tranfer money from paypal that's it. I've looked at many and still having trouble choosing where to go. I found chase has a $25 fee to open an account and so does Lasalle/BOA. So I narrowed it down to those two for now. 5/3 is much more money, I heard of everest but I found their webpage confusing.

Anyone have suggestions on a bank where I can open an account online??? So that I can have checks and a debit card sent via mail to me. Sharing your experiences welcomed =)Where should I open a new checking account?!! advice!!?
You should not be charged to open an account. I have opened an FNBO account online. I think ING Direct is also simple to open an account and has good rates. Are there any credit unions you are eligible to join, they might offer better terms(fewer and/or lower fees).

I am new to RI and trying to decide between South County Hospital and Women & Infants Hospital -- any advice?

I am pregnant with my 2nd and hubby and I are new to the area and are 1/2 way between each hospital. Any mom's have experience with either hospital?I am new to RI and trying to decide between South County Hospital and Women %26amp; Infants Hospital -- any advice?
Definitely choose Women and Infants Hospital. It is known as RI's birthing center. I have many friend's and relative's that are in the medical field, both doctor's and nurses... they would tell you the same thing. Have you chosen an OBGYN yet? Maybe they could give you more advice? Either way... good luck! I hope you find the right one for you and your baby.

You can pretty much pick up all that you need from the movie. There are a couple of tiny details mentioned from the show but not nearly enough that you wouldnt understand the movie.

Advice for making new friends? plz help?

Ok so the deal is I moved again for like the 10 time and i'm going to a new school and well in my old school everyone in the same grade as me was practically my friend and now i have none coz of our move what should i do specially since this school has a whole bunch of emo, gothic, skaters, and a lil bit of preps?

I might fit in with the skaters but that's it! what should i do!!! help plzAdvice for making new friends? plz help?
ok so just be yourself don't change for ANYONE ! just be confident smile , do your own thing. People will like you for who you actually are , soo good luck :DAdvice for making new friends? plz help?
Be friendly and sincere.dont try too hard or you would be seen as weird. :)
go to www.theultimategirlsguide.weebly.com they have this thing on becoming popular
JUST BE FRIENDLY TALK TO THEM INTRODUCE YOUR SELF OE JUST SIT ALONE AND POSSSILY SOME1 WILL COME TOO YOU
Just go up to the nicest looking girl/boy and ask to eat lunch with them. Most people are nice enough and say yes.

Be involved with the conversation, but don't take it over.

Maybe that person will see how cool you are and will want to become friends.

P.S. Avoid the loudest ones in the cafeteria.
Be friendly and Say '; Hi my name is..'; and sit a lunch table every day and join clubs like yearbook, etc.
Suck it up, learn how to skate if you don't know how to, and try and talk to them. If you don't want to be a skater, just be yourself around everyone and you'll make friends fast.
what i would do, is go up and talk to someone,

try making a new friend that way,

and if you're lucky, they will introduce you into their friends,

    gooood luck!

you can also try to learn some of their names and friend request them on facebook.

    goood luck!
all you can do is just be really really nice to everyone, even if they are mean to you. just be confident and be yourself and im sure you'll make some friends. don't hold back... just start conversations with people. good luck!
You should talk to people when your there you might not pick the right group right away but later on you will notice that thats not the right group and then the next group you will choose you will deffinelty fit in

  • Advice for a new gun owner.?

I am currently 17 years old and will be attending a college just in Los Angeles next summer. As I am concerned for personal safety, I will be purchasing a handgun to excercise one of my Constitutional rights.

However, I am still unsure about what to buy and where to find more information about guns.

If you could give me any advice, it would be greatly appreciatedAdvice for a new gun owner.?
If this will be your first handgun I'd go with a double action revolver. Revolvers are uncomplicated. Pull the trigger and they fire... No safety, no clearing a jam, no mag release button..

As far as which caliber to buy... .357 magnum.... You can shoot .38specials in it for practice cheap then load .357's for protection.

Good luck and remember .. practice, practice, practice....

Be safe.Advice for a new gun owner.?
I hate to say this, but in California, you have to be at least 21 to own a handgun. If you are 18, you may own a rifle, so I would suggest a 12 gage shotgun. If you intend on bringing a handgun anyways, I would suggest a 45 caliber. A 45 relies on mass and not penetration so it will punch a bigger hole and stop without killing your neighbor. A 9mm is weak and over penetrating/under wounding. A 357 carries the same lead as a 38 but will kill your neighbor because its more powder and will punch through a wall, smaller then a 9mm.... you do the math on that. On the other hand, the sound of a shotgun pump will be heard and is widely recognizable and you may never have to fire a shot.
No the constitution says you have the right to bear arms, which means that you have the right to hang bear arms over your fireplace. That is what the framers were talking about. I love family guy, Great show!!!
If you're really looking for self defense, get a shotgun. Easier to hit something with and less likely to punch through walls and hit somebody you don't want to.
I would purchase an M-60 machine gun on the black market. Nobody will mess with you when they see you carrying that around.

How i treat my new car! (great advice!!!)?

So i bought this ford fiesta some days ago and i found a neat trick to make the engine run smoother! Every morning (its really cold where i live) i start the engine and then immediately press the gas pedal all the way down (with neutral of course) for 30 minutes! At like 6000rpm!!!! It then works great!!! And once i get on the street, i warm up the brakes by speeding for a few meters and then pushing the brakes with all my might!!!! Did you know this method?? I love my FORD!!!How i treat my new car! (great advice!!!)?
If someone gave me a car made by ford i would treat it exactly the same

Our rabbit needs a new home, any advice?

My daughter WON a bunny 3 years ago at a local festival and the poor thing just lives in her room in her cage day after day (even if my daughter forgets to feed her for a couple days)...I feel bad and want to find a home for her (the rabbit not my daughter...lol). Does anyone know what kind of organization might take a rabbit? She really doesn't fit in with a house full of retrievers (we breed Goldens). thanksOur rabbit needs a new home, any advice?
You can contact http://www.petfinder.com in you area. They may be able to help you place your daughter's rabbit. All the best;~)Our rabbit needs a new home, any advice?
Your choice of organizations is limited.

You cannot simply donate a rabbit for 'medical research', as creatures used in this manner must be 'germ free', and these are very expensive animals bred in a specialized environment.

Your local zoo would be able to accept your rabbit. I would advise sending it by courier, (the postal service may not accept livestock), and addressing it to the curator of reptiles.
There is a house rabbit society that finds homes for rabbits or else go to yahoo groups and they have rabbits classified group its mostly breeders but you will also find people who are just looking or a pet give a description of the rabbit, the price, and if you can give any help transporting it. Also a newspaper add is not bad but be careful some people use the newspaper to find food for snakes and other reptials.
I went through tons of pets when i was a kid with the same problems lol my hampster learnt to only use the bathroom in one corner bc it rarley got changed. Call up a few local pet shops and ask if they will take him. That always worked best for me. That was the bunny will have a loving home =) Just make sure if they cant sell him or give him away to call u so nothing happens to the poor thing.
Your son is an ****ole, your daughter is selfish and yes, you are mean, but at least you are trying to find bunny a new home. I'm not surprised your bunny is not very friendly as it doesn't sound like she's had much love shown to her. Enquiring at the vets is a good idea.
Place an ad on a classifieds website like www.cragislist.org or www.kijiji.com. Do not offer a free rabbit. If you do, it could end up as food for a snake (or other reptile). Be honest about the situation and the bunny's behaviour. Don't do 'first come first serve' screen the interested people. Ask some questions about rabbit care, like housing, food, letting it out. Ask WHY they want the rabbit, be careful of people wanting a rabbit for their children (as you know what can happen).

If posting as ad doesn't work or you can't find a suitable person, a local rescue would be a good choice. I don't recommend a pet store as they will just sell the bunny and not really care.
It seems like the best thing you can do is see if their are any pet shops located around your area, they should be able to take the bunny, as long as nothing is wrong with it, also maybe a local vet

may be able to find a home for it or even take it until they do, so just look in the phone book in maybe the yellow pages under pet shops, I'm pretty sure they will take it. Hope this helps!
You can place an add and adopt the bunny out yourself. I would try that first. If that doesn't work I would take it to your local no-kill shelter and they can find it a home. If I lived nearby I would take her but unfortunatly I'm clear in Iowa! good luck!

Moving and living in New Zealand....need advice?

so i'm leaving in 5 months to live in new zealand with a friend for the year, we've sent in all the paperwork to get our visa's and jobs and watnot, not its just finding a place to live.

we fly into Aukland, but aren't sure where in the country we'd like to live.

Anyone know of good places for two 24 yr old males just looking to experience a different culture and meet new people!

Also, what are some good sites I could use to find a nice appartement in a good part of town?Moving and living in New Zealand....need advice?
my cousin moved there bout a year ago nd she loves it she actually lives in auckland and says its to die for but she is into her sports. i also hear christchurch is nice but that is no where near auckland but just think about it. try google for apartments it should help !!Moving and living in New Zealand....need advice?
My only experience in NZ was on a typical package tour,

but I feel I got somewhat of a sense of the place.

We went to a lot of places on both North and South Island.

Auckland is the big commercial centre and ';main city';.

It seemed to me very much like other modern cities and for

that reason might be a better place to live than to visit.

It's sort of the reverse of the old clich茅:

';a great place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there';.

Other cities, to me at least, were more picturesque and

with lower populations, slower and calmer.

Wellington at the south tip of the North Island was beautiful and would appeal to me greatly.

The South Island has fewer people, lots more sheep, and

incredibly beautiful scenery. Christchurch seemed a nice

city. In fact, just about every city, large and small

    seemed rather nice.

For your age, probably your choices would be limited

to the larger cities such as Auckland and Wellington,

as you are likely to find more of a social life and ';action';.

I would imagine your chances for employment are best

    there as well.

If you are more into country-type and outdoor activities,

then there are lots of choices. Queenstown, for example,

is a big tourist attraction with lots of adventure sports

going on, so if that's your thing, it might work out.

I'm getting a new dog, any advice?

Her name is Tara and she is 6 months old. She is 3/4 Great Pyrenees 1/4 Maremma. Hopefully she will be a livestock guardian dog (LGD) for my goats. I've been doing a lot of research about her breeds and LGDs in general so I can kind of prepare myself as in what to expect. Does anyone have any advice as in how to introduce her to the goats? Should she be immediately kept in a pen with the goats, or near the goats? Should she be allowed inside the house at all, since she won’t generally be allowed after(if) she bonds with the goats? Does anyone have any idea how big she may be now? I emailed the person who has her asking questions also but she hasn’t got back to me yet. I’m getting her this Monday so any advice would be greatly appreciated.I'm getting a new dog, any advice?
That's nice! Dogs are very playful!

    Here are some tips:

•Walk the dog everyday before you start school

•Don't forget to feed your dog!

•Be sure it has lots of attention. You might want to start with a puppy first because it sleeps when you're in school.

•Teach your dog tricks. Its a best way to have a really playful dog.

•You might want an Australian Shepherd. It's playful, it needs long walks, and naps a lot. I have one and it's one of the smartest dogs. Or you want a Border Collie. It is the smartest dog.

Okay so I hope you will get a dog. Here are some websites:

    Names for dogs:

http://petrix.com/dognames/I'm getting a new dog, any advice?
Well I don't know about this breed, but I do know if you type great pyrenees in your search engine, you will probably find some clubs to join. I have shelties and I joined sheltie clubs and you can ask questions there like you do here and you get lots of answers and mostly lots of support. I guess I would put her on a leash, and take her to the goats to see how she reacts. My neighbor has a goat, and two boxers, and the goat keeps the dogs in their place. My moms dogs were outside during the day with her, but slept in the house at night when the weather was bad. I would train her to behave in the house in case you have weather issues.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maremma_She…

this website tells u everything u need to know ...... even training w/ sheeps n cattle ......

I wouldn't think u should bring the dog in the house ..... it says that puppies as early as 3-4 weeks are placed w/ young lambs to begin the bonding ..... don't want to confuse ur puppy ........

they get upto 23-29 inches 65-110lbs

    Hi Meg:

If you want to use an LCD TV as a monitor so you can watch TV with the same equipment and also view DVD movies and stuff, I think the best option is to get a model from the ';Touch Of Color'; line from Samsung.

There are several monitors from that line that come already with an integrated TV receiver, that way, you can use it with your PC as a monitor, but it also serves as a standalone TV because you can connect either your antenna or your Cable TV to the back of it and watch TV as in a ';normal'; TV.

By going for that option, you save some money and you won't need to buy extra TV tuner cards for your PC.

Here you have three different LCD's that come already with TV tuner, and of course, you can also use them as a monitor for your PC:

Yea if you want quality make sure you buy a computer with HDMI, you can use that with most new HD TVs. A lot of new TVs also have VGA, thats good too.
    Hi there

Im sorry, im not computerized expert. you can stip by Fry or else to get a clear consultants

I would go with an AMD system - it's much cheaper. Plus, you're not gaming or doing anything heavy duty so no need for an over-priced Intel.

Weight Watchers, (^_^ Starting a new life) any advice on how to stay motivated?

My mom is going to be taking me tomorrow to a Weight Watchers meeting. I'm going to be starting it and I couldn't be happier...I am going to be 17 and I weigh 210 pounds. I am 5' 3';. This is not good whatsoever. But, I'm going to start taking care of myself. I want to be normal. I lost over 20 pounds on Jenny Craig but I couldn't take the food anymore. And I gained it all back. I just need to get motivated again. I want to be able to shop for clothing and not feel so ashamed of myself...It hurts so much sometimes. Especially hearing some EXTREMELY skinny girls say ';I'm so fat!';. I need to be healthy. I want to be able to do so many things.Weight Watchers, (^_^ Starting a new life) any advice on how to stay motivated?
You are on the right track! Weight Watchers is the best!

It teaches you discipline and accountability.

The best thing is you get to eat REAL FOOD! I'm not surprised you gained back your weight once off Jenny Craig.

The best advice I can give you or anybody is don't look at it as a diet, but a life change. Which simply means, when you reach your weight goal, you will still have to continue eating as if you were on a ';diet';. Otherwise, you will again regain all your lost weight.

This doesn't mean you can't splurge on occasion. I have disciplined myself to have 1 or 2 bites of a chocoloate cake and then walk away. If I still want more, I just take my dogs for a walk - 99% of the time, by the time I'm back from our walk, the craving has subsided.

Stay active, even if it's just walking every day. You will be surprised at how fast the lbs will melt away.

And please don't set your sights on being a size 4! Always set goals within reach - otherwise you will never hit your goals and then you will get discouraged and of course turn to food. If you're a size 16 now, set a goal to fit into size 14 jeans in 30 days. Every 10 lbs you lose, usually means one size smaller.

    Remember to set REALISTIC GOALS!

I hope this helps and I wish you great success!

OMg I HATE my new haircut any advice?

Okay I have a theory that a new haircut always takes 2 weeks or so to settle in. I got a haircut 2 weeks ago and I hated it....I let my hair grow out past my boob legnht so that I can later have lots of layers cut into it. However I must have not communicated well with the stylist. the shortest layer barely touches my shoulder and I hate the way it look because it's way too much of a difference from the longest layer in my hair. What should I do wear my hair in a bun until I can grow out my shortest layer and eventually cut it even?OMg I HATE my new haircut any advice?
    Try curling it.

    Try straightening it.

    Don't worry...it'll grow out...but instead of wasting

your time hating it...learn to love it.

You can tie it back in a simple pony tail...and a bun.OMg I HATE my new haircut any advice?
I hate retarded hairstylists who **** up ur hair, no matter how specific you are, no matter how many pics you show, they still get it wrong! I asked to get my hair trim and my bangs trimmed below my eyebrows. My hair ended up above my chin and my bangs 1 inch above my eyebrows!!! AGHHHHH

Your hair feels thin because of all the layers she cut in your hair and didn't take the time to blend them and take some of the weight out of the top or shortest layer. So, you hair feels a little uneven. I'd say to go back to the salon where you got it done and see if you can have the girl try that or if she can fix it. But, most salons say you can come back within a week after that you might have a hard time?
Okay, so I did the same thing and I pretty much had to wait it out. You can't style it cute or anything, it just looks awful allll the time. I ended up getting it cut to the shortest layer, which was at my shoulder. I got eight inches cut off. Yeah, I was pissed. I suggest you do the same because it looks a lot better than all the layers, trust me.

Your hair feels thin because its super thick at the top and you cut off all the hair, so for each layer, thats how much hair you cut off. At the bottom, there's barely any so its super thin because there's like no hair.

Hang in there, you'll be alright.
    You have a couple options.

    1. try Curling it. If your hairs curly, you don't notice the layers as much.

    2. Don't cut it quite even, but do cut the longest layer shorter, That way, the contrast won't be so dramatic.

    3. You can find hairstyles, where your hair is half up. just pull the short layers back.
Just wait it out. Get another haircut after a month or so if you don't like it by then.

Need a little advice on a new boyfriend.?

He's very macho and manly. But, he leaves most of the moves to me. He's very laid back about sex. It's like I have to guide him, like he's afraid ill stop him if he makes a wrong move. Then he says things like ';so you finally decided you want a kiss'; or ';what took you so long';. Need some ways to light a fire under him. I want him to make the moves.Need a little advice on a new boyfriend.?
You got a submissive man! One should count herself lucky! Though, if you want him to take the lead, just tell him,';Honey, if I want you to stop, I'll tell you. Until then, KEEP GOING!';Need a little advice on a new boyfriend.?
wow....i'd kill for a woman like you....tell him to take turns being the dominant one. thats what i've done and it works out well and its pretty fun
it may be weird...but tell him to make the moves. thats his job not urs.

but if u dont want to do that...then just stop making moves on him. kinda play ';hard to get'; u kno?

HEY im new to wrestling any advice?!?

hey im a sophomore girl who is going to wrestle, ive gone to camp and have my gear and all, but idk what to expect when season comes, and helpful advice is greatly appriciated !(:HEY im new to wrestling any advice?!?
When I wrestled for my school Speed and aglity worked best for me. So you can just try to be faster and have more aglity than the one you face. And TRY NOT TO GET HURT.HEY im new to wrestling any advice?!?
I think that is so awesome! My son (now 23) wrestled in junior high, high school, and college. In his senior year of high school he was MVP. Wrestling is the oldest sport in the world. It is mentioned in the Bible. Wrestling is not only two people rolling around on a mat, it is a disciplined way of thinking, a philosopy almost. I can always spot a man or boy who wrestles. He carries himself well, and is a gentleman.

You can also use wrestling to go onto other things. Such as, Brazialian ju jitsu, karate, all martial art forms, kick boxing, and boxing. My son now does all.

Trust me, if you wrestle, for the rest of your life you will eat right, stay in shape, and be in good physical condition. It's a mind set, not only a sport. And, it's a tight knit family. Coaches, team, remain close. My son is out of college, and still keeps in touch with his high school wrestling coaches. They were his mentors, they helped mold him into the wonderful athlete he was, and still is. You will be too.

Advice: watch your knees! Always wear knee pads. My son had a scope done on his knee at 15 years old. Because of wrestling. That muniscus gets damaged fast.
Well ,i think this is a question to ask for yourself. I'll just give u the facts and what u need to start if u want to start wrestling. First off, its never to late to go to a sport. Wrestling, although is one of the hardest sports you will ever have. In wrestling, there are no such things as cut, its just Varisty line up and just JV. I would ask yourself if you are committed to this sport because this sport demains alot of time and energy. That WWE stuff is not what they do by the way. Wrestling requires both mind and body and is alot like Martial Arts. If you want to do this then i recommend you join a wrestling club right away. Wrestling clubs will help you in basic techniques and basic work outs and will ask u to compete in tournaments which will also improve you. So in other words, if you are afraid of pain, dont commit to anything, and wont do anything for your sport, then you mine as well not waste your time. If you join, i recommend you start working out alot. 5 miles a day and so on and so forth. Whichever way you go, you can always request more information from me. Good luck
I am a male, but I was new to wrestling as a Freshman... I enjoy it, it is tough and nice for conditioning if you are in other sports. You get aches a good amount of the time, but it all depends on how your coach trains you that will make a difference. i.e. Some coaches will value weight training over conditioning. My coach was almost all conditioning and yeah, aches nightly.... And remember, you will most likely wrestle a guy in a match, or even in practice. I've seen friends get their asses kicked by girls on the mat.
Nothing in particular. I will say that It's a sport where you have to learn to take the fall and you will be aching from time to time. Also pain is going to be a factor..Just try your best. thats all i have. Also you should look up some amatuer wrestling on Youtube.
remember dont get cocky dont underestimate your opponent and learn abunch of move

Help! I need advice for my new jeans. (:

I just went school shopping today, and I got two pairs of Laguna Skinnys from Hollister Co.vthat I've been wanting for forever! They're a size 0-R. I mean, they fit and all, but there just a little too tight in some areas. %26amp; I do NOT want to split during school. When I lift my knee up they're a little too tight, and when I sit or squat there a little too tight also. But besides that they feel fine.

Is it just because there brand new? Anyway I can get them to fit nicely.

I tried on a 1-R but I have to have my jeans be tight. The 1's feel good, but the back under the jean pocket is too loose for my liking.

Help Pleaseee!Help! I need advice for my new jeans. (:
hey :] i have a pair of the laguna skinny jeans from hollister too! i bought mine like a month ago, and after a couple of wears they will naturally stretch out a little like most jeans do. i would stick with the 0 since i do need to wear a belt with my jeans since they seem to run a lil too big in the waist.

this is my favorite pair of jeans from hollister :]Help! I need advice for my new jeans. (:
Wear them around the house before you wear them. Do squats and try to stretch them as best as you can. That is really all that you can do. My other advice is to not wash them after each wearing. Jeans are always tightest fresh out of the dryer. After wearing them, just hang them up (like over the shower rod in your bathroom) and let them air out. You could spray them with some body spray or fabreeze and wear them again later that week and they will be much looser than if you wash them again.
I say you get the 1's instead %26amp; then wash them. they should shrink and they will save you from an emergency if you know what i mean. If not then wear them often around the house to try to stretch them if they're made of stretchy material and try not to squat down if they don't stretch. I'd say get the 1's %26amp; you will grow into them if they don't shrink in the wash.
Definately wear them around the house the day before you are planning on wearing them so the material will loosen up. Just don't take them out to a day on the town or they may get all wrinkley the day before you want to wear them! I usually do this to jeans that feel too tight and it always works. rock those jeans ! :)
Wear them around the house before you wear them to school.

I just bought jeans from there too, the same size as yours, and once I wore them for a day or two they loosened up a bit and now they feel perfect. :)

    I love Hollister jeans %26lt;3.

    Haha. Good luck :) !
just squat and see if they loosen up a little. try walking around and see how they feel. If they dont loosen up you can get the ones then wash and dry them in the dryer and the butt area should shrink and maybe the waist too.
Eat a pizza and the 1's will fit fine. No one cares how you are a size 0 and the 1's are a little loose on you for your liking.
get the 1 and wear a belt, or bring a jacket with the 0 and if it rips then tie the jacket around your waist or brind extra jeans, but i would do the 1s with a cute belt
i would try sitiing around in them like while you watch tv if they are a stretchy material from sitting in them they will stretch a little
i think they are okay as long as you dont do sports in them lol.

    plz help! thx :)

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
it is because theyre new; i have those jeans %26amp; had the exact same problem...just like wear them a few times %26amp; then youll break them in %26amp; they should be perfect (:

  • New to stock market, any advice?

****it's short term, talking about 2 months.New to stock market, any advice?
Honey, that's simulation, not stimulation. Also, it definitely not true that what comes down must go up. You would be surprised to see how many so-called blue-chip companies in the last 50 years have disappeared altogether.

You belong to an important sector of the market. See what businesses you are interested in do well even in hard times. It might be a clothing chain, a fast-food outlet or a product such as coke. What does your family always buy automatically? Do other families buy the same thing? In other words, invest in things that you know at least a little bit about.New to stock market, any advice?
In the real world if you were using real money I would be suggesting companies like IBM and Coca Cole, but you need high risk/high return companies to win the game and if those companies don't succeed it's not going to cost you real money you earned.

The strategy you're suggesting is no good for the simulation. People who buy shares going down are looking for long-term growth in dividend paying companies that are in good financial shape. Dividends are payed quarterly.

You need to find speculative companies going up. Generally, a trader will wait for a stock going down to start going up before buying. If you invest in a company going down, it will probably go further down and you'll lose

Some companies shares never go back up. If a company goes bust, the shares become worthless.

For 2 months in a simulation where you're not losing your own money, it's best to buy speculative stocks to win, and if you lose it's not the end of the world. Probably tech stocks, pharmaceutical/biomedical stocks and mining and energy stocks.

Put $25,000 on each of these and you should be able to at least double your money:-

    Pharmaceutical %26amp; /Biomedical:-

    ANPI - Angiotech Pharmaceuticals

    AVRX - Avalon Pharmaceuticals

    Information Technology:-

    SIRF - Sirf Technology

    WSTM - Workstream

The goal in the game is to multiply your money, but in the real world protecting it with risk management strategies is more important.
I had the same opportunity in college to do the same thing you are doing now. I outperformed my colleagues and averaged a 24% return on investment with my ';pension plan'; which was $100,000,000 for the year. I chose stocks that were what I classified as ';can't do without'; commodities. These included companies that were in the gas and oil fields, Kimberly Clark, Johnson %26amp; Johnson, Ameren UE, Amoco, Shell, among others. Think of companies that people can't live without and you should do fine - and keep these picks to real basics, energy, staples of everyday living, etc. You'll do fine!
wht uneed to do is instead of investing in one stock u should invest in 3 stocks..and u shoudl not buy all at once..

    buy in incremenets...

so a good stokc tht is going to go up is

    coin (converted organics)

some other ones u can look at

    yge (yingli green)

    jpm (jp morgan)

    ms (morgan stanley)

    agu (agrium)

now in terms of buying increments lets take a look at yge

    its trading around 6 bucks

so u can do a buy at 6

    buy at 5.50

    buy at 5

    buy at 4.50

ok so lets say you want to invest in 4 stocks you have 100,000 bucks

so lets allocate 25,000 to each stock

I jstu got a new tattoo today...i dont knw how to maintain it can i get some advice please.?

They should have explained this 2

    u. Main thing is to keep it moist.

A%26amp;D ointment the stuff used on

    a babies BUTT applied 2 /3 times

a day 4 first week . Cover with saran wrap first few hours. Take

care when sleeping first week.I jstu got a new tattoo today...i dont knw how to maintain it can i get some advice please.?
ok, first of all congrats on the tat, lol!

but wat you have to do is clean it with anti bacterial soup and water, foam the soup, and lightly apply it on the tat in circular motion. rinse and let air dry, once its dry, apply unscented lotion or vaseline to moisturize the tattoo. The tattoo will be itchy but dont give in and scratch! you could scratch the surrounding area or tap the tattoo. do not go tanning with the tattoo, is bad for the ink and do not over clean it.

Good luck =]I jstu got a new tattoo today...i dont knw how to maintain it can i get some advice please.?
Put lotion on it to keep it moisturized. Do NOT scratch it, even if it itches. EVER. Or at least until it is fully healed. Scratch around it all you want, but never on it. If you do you could screw up the tattoo. One of my friends scratched hers and she had to get as spot she messed up re-inked. It will scab a bit, but that is normal. It will itch like hell, that is also normal. Just put lotion on it, give it time, and in a couple weeks it will be gorgeous!
Yes Neosporine A triple antibiotic ointment don't cover it with a band-aide let it breath it should scab over then let the scab come off naturally then its healed
Do NOT use neosporin. That person is nuts!!

That is an ANTIBIOTIC ointment (read: it wants to get the ink out of your skin). It will fade your tattoo.
A%26amp;D ointment is the best or Aquaphor I use both. They also sell stuff called tattoo goo but it is over priced when the above do just as well!
when i got my tat, they told me to put bacitracine on it at night and cover it with seran wrap and tape for the next three days.

    Good luck!

New Job Potential - HELP! ADVICE!?

I applied and was given a prelim offer for a non-profit, work from home position. I have a high amount of student loans and some personal credit cards. They are finalizing restrictions for my employment. Anyone had a similar situation happen to them or know what the restrictions may be?New Job Potential - HELP! ADVICE!?
Employers now routinely do credit checks on candidates. Not that I really believe that your credit affects how good of a worker you will be but they may be looking for high default and collection rates to judge if the job seeker may potentiall steal or make false claims to get money from the employer. Also if you are going to be in charge of the company's finances, your own financial situation may indicate that you cannot handle the finances of a company. Or they could be looking into your potential salary in comparison to what you owe. Will you be leaving for another job because you can't pay your bills on this salary?

If you have high student loans and credit card but you are paying on time and not in default, there should not be much to worry about.

Need advice on a new relationship!!?

My new ';friend'; for three months recently found out one of his friends, is a friend of mine that was interested in me now and before. Hes jealous and now he acts like he wants me more. Why do men behave like that?Need advice on a new relationship!!?
I agree with the last comment ...Need advice on a new relationship!!?
because he dosent want u but don't want any 1 else 2 have u either its a man thing!
hi:i doubt that he would ever admitt to this, but the truth is hes afraid hes going to loose you to this other guy(he might be a little insecure) no biggy...bye now.

I really wish i hadn't moved away from my friends, can't make new ones. Too shy, Advice?

I prefer to hang around in smaller groups with a few close friends, but after moving to a new province in my grade 12 year i can't seem to make friends. Its a small school and everyone is really close and they hang out in huge groups. I was too scared to approach them the first week and now i'm left out, i just go to the library at lunch. I don't really mind doing homework at lunch but i do mind people looking and knowing i have no friends here. Why haven't they come up and approched me? I look like everyone else, and I am not repulsive looking, only shy. When you see someone who is obviously alone and quiet would you make the attempt to talk with them? Or do you think they're wierd?I really wish i hadn't moved away from my friends, can't make new ones. Too shy, Advice?
ME 2 !! i can't belive it what i did was try out for tennis now i have tons of friends join a culb of something then they will come to u k? trust me bout thisI really wish i hadn't moved away from my friends, can't make new ones. Too shy, Advice?
yeah they should really approach you and make you feel more welcome, but as they havent doesnt mean theyre not nice people, maybe they think because your shy that you prefer to be on your own. Im shy and i know that to other people it can sometimes come across as aloofness.

Why not try a conversation with just one or two people - like your new to the area so ask them questions like where the best stores are, whats fun to do in your area etc etc...try and catch peoples eye and just smile. Once they see that your not aloof theyll understand your shy and its hard to come to a new school, and they may make more of an effort.

also give your self time to make friends, it takes a bit to get to know people so dont worry too much about not having any friends there yet.
well why don't u just talk to them be friendly
Most the time, I assume that someone doing homework alone in the library wants to be alone. If you want to make friends, approach someone you kind of know from class and ask them for help in something. It doesn't matter what, as long as it wouldn't make them go out of their way to much to do it. People love being asked to help with someone.

Another option is to get involved in a club or team. Very often you'll make good friends when you hang out with them doing an activity every day of the week.

A third option is to try to find someone else like yourself who's all alone, or a smaller group that you think you have something in common with. Talk with them right before and after class, then ask if you could eat lunch with them. Most likely they'll say yes.

Either way, give it up. You're going to get eaten alive at either investing or standup.

The first objective to investing is to not LOSE money. Most new investors to the stock market fail at that. You have better odds playing the slots in a casino than investing without a clue.

You can get an education in investing, and eventually learn to do well.

    Good Luck and Best Wishes!
Hate to burst your bubble but trading is like taking a suitcase of cash to Vegas and gambling it all away because you were sure you would win: it's not gonna happen

If trading was that easy then everyone would be rich.

I was a trader for about 3 years and I made money but also lost some in the beginning when I was learning. The hardest thing for people who trade stocks to do is to sell because they keep thinking the stock will go up.

You have to do your own research and these stock sites are not very reliable. Charting stocks does not work. You have to read read read and also you have to have a really fast set-up to be able to sell quickly if you need to do so you need real time quotes and a real time trading device. I used Etrade and it was good. I did not like Schwab and I tried some other trading companies but I think Etrade is probably the best.

I am not a fan of long term investments either. I did ';swing trading'; I started out doing day trading but decided it was foolish.

No shorting. You can lose everything you own shorting stocks.

Pick stocks with good technicals and a proven record and P%26amp;E ratio.

I say that to you but I made a killing during the dot.com days and that was pure foolishness on my part and I would never do that again but I was too stupid to know what I was doing back then
You'll get a better return on investment if you break up that bag and sell off what you've been smokin'. If you think that you can realize 400% return in one month, you need to find a guardian for your finances.

My advice is to WORK for what you want and save your money. The only ones getting rich quick in the stock market is the people on those websites.

    2. Not trying to rush into sex: dont mind getting physical (game for pretty much anything BUT intercourse or anal... yuck) but because I've waiting this long i think it would be stupid to throw my V-card away on some random one night stand. and disease runs rampant these days, etc.

im trendy young in shape cute and love having fun and I am a good friend.

www.spintv.muI need a makeover, new everything, some advice maybe?
I don't think you need a makeover. The fact that you're losing the weight is a makeover enough in itself. Your style is cute, and your hair looks good. The only think I'd suggest is to smile more and choose a more sheer lipcolor. Good luck with everything and your weight loss is a huge accomplishment, congrats.

    :)
I would say that the smile was the only thing missing from the first pic. You are very cute, but until you know it and it shows on your face, it doesn't matter what you change, you still won't look your best.
Don't spend a lot of money on expensive cosmetics. Buy good fresh food instead.

Have fruit first thing in the morning, have light early dinners and drink lots of water at all times.
u don't really need a makeover but maybe yould change the shade of ur lip gloss or lipstick

u vcan also put highlights on ur hair or cut it pixie cut style

Suburban girl moving to New York City...Advice?

I'm 21, from California, and recently graduated with a B.A. in Psychology. I'm set on moving to New York, alone, sometime in the winter, and was wondering if the New Yorkers could give advice/tips on settling down in the big city. I'll have a few grand saved up by the time I make the actual move.

Where are some good locations for an affordable studio?? Budgeting? Recommendations of great restaurants?? What should I avoid doing? How should I go about looking for jobs?? Etc etc....

Anything you have to impart is welcome!Suburban girl moving to New York City...Advice?
Look into moving in the outer boroughs, the city is way too expensive even though rental prices have fallen. You're better off finding good deals in Brooklyn. I suggest Williamsburg Brooklyn, because of its proximity to Manhattan (short train ride 10-15 min).

Williamsburg is filled with young people (hipsters), clubs, lounges, restaurants and clothing boutiques. When you get out of the train, its like walking onto a campus. Its definitely youthful.

Studios on the low side can run around $1000-1200, while a studio in the city will run you around $1600-2000. Less if you go farther into Brooklyn or higher uptown in Manhattan. Many people get roomates to lower the cost.

Check out craigslist.com, look at the apts, check out the roomates section also. But beware of scammers, never send any money by mail, always look at the apt and ask for credentials.

PeaceSuburban girl moving to New York City...Advice?
Hey! Ok so i was in your exact position last year. I ended up moving from So Cal to NY in January. I will tell you one thing, if you have never visited YOU NEED TOO. Like it was said above, NY is a city like no others and it is very hard on you if your not ready. Especially coming from CA where we are so used to cars and a relatively easy life, NY is challenging. Besides that,

I moved here without a job, and am currently employed and couldn't be happier,so it is possible; However, i did have connections and wanted to go into sales. This is not to discourage at all, just something to keep in mind.

Living: i would suggest looking into subletting a room or studio from someone. I did that when i first moved and it would allow you to save a lot of money, (no bed to buy, deposit etc.) also you can get to know the areas that you may want to live in without tying yourself to a lease.

Budgeting: you are going to spend more $ than you ever thought on Food and drinks (if you drink). That is where my money goes. Just know you cannot even compare it to what you spend in CA.

Location: I personally love Murray Hill as mentioned, also the east and west villages. I think these places all have a great mix of people, but also a very hip young social scene.

I hope this helped, if you want more advice i have A LOT to give only becasue i was you a 7 months ago so just ask me. Good luck!
Try to secure a job offer before moving here. With the economy as bad as it is jobs are tough and it's a highly competitive market. I hate to be the one to break it to you but a BA in Psychology won't pay much here in NYC, you'll need a Ph.D. in that field. Yes REALLY. Start with online services such as Monster.com Here's the link: http://www.monster.com/ or try a professional service such as the NY State Psychologist Association: http://nyspa.associationcareernetwork.co鈥?/a>

Renting an apartment usually requires a credit check and first and last months deposit. You'll need more than a couple of grand. Here is an example of a studio apartment for rent: http://www.nycdwellers.com/new_york_apar鈥?/a> it is located in Murray Hill which is on the East Side of Manhattan. And here is an example of a studio apartment on the Upper East Side: http://manhattan-newyork.olx.com/2499-st鈥?/a>

Budgeting? That's personal and depends on your income.

Restaurants: One of the best sources for restaurants is MenuPages.com (http://www.menupages.com) not only can you see the menus WITH prices but, you can read reviews from real people. It's usually pretty accurate!

Avoid: coming to NYC without visiting here first. What you see on TV is vastly different than real life in NYC. Stay at least a week and see if this is really where you want to live.

    Good luck

In search of a new laptop. Any advice?

I had a 17 inch HP Pavilion 9000 which stopped working because the graphics card went apeshit and I can only fix this by replacing the motherboard since the graphics card is embedded in the MB I can't replace the graphics card alone. This will set me back +400 euros. I think it's better to buy a new laptop instead of repairing this one.

Any suggestions on what I can get? Preferably not HP or Dell.. I would like an Apple but the 17 inch ones are ridiculously expensive,,,In search of a new laptop. Any advice?
Buy an HP compaq presario there cheap without giving up on the performance. i got mine for $380 american and the only problem i have had is the nvidia graphics card is not good enough to play the latest pc games. In search of a new laptop. Any advice?
Figure out what you want to do with the computer, then shop for one that will do that. Remember to include extra capability, because what is enough today will probably not be in a couple of years.
You should see if you can get it fixed by HP. They may be able to do it cheaper if it is under warranty. There may even be an option in the BIOS to disable the graphics card or do something that may help it.

Hey I am a new Marine wife, advice on coping?

Basically we got married The very beginning of January and he left last week for boot camp for three and a half months. I am having a hard time dealing with it, and i was just looking for advice from maybe other military wives on how they deal? PS - We have a son too and its hard because he is 2 and runs around the house looking for daddy, but dad isn't there.Hey I am a new Marine wife, advice on coping?
Stay busy. Become involved in any programs they may have for Marine wives. Best of luck to you.Hey I am a new Marine wife, advice on coping?
If you live on a base, go to a support group. They will be able to help you the most. You could also take up a hobby to keep your mind off of things.
Does the base you're stationed at have a branch of the Enlisted Spouses Club? That could give you a good social network to be a part of. Having a son also gives you a lot of opportunities to get out and be involved; try spending some time at the CDC, taking him to the park on playdates with other kids, etc.

The one thing you shouldn't do is sit at home and think about it, because that'll drive you nuts.

    Good luck!
    Congrats,

You'll have an interesting road to travel. Boot camp will change him. Marines are a breed apart, and I've known many. Most of their marriages have lasted well, i think the Marines have a higher marriage retention rate than any other branch of the military.

What you can expect from him once out of boot camp: An EXTREMELY loyal and fierce companion. He'll be very body-proud and quite enthusiastic.

Military life is not easy, but it can be done keeping a marriage intact. Try not to have too many doubts about your future as what he is doing is an HONORABLE thing.

For the three+ months of boot camp: Keep his picture with you always and look at it often. Keep his words and smiles on your mind.

Your Son: he'll adjust, but it'll take time and attention. DO NOT SPOIL HIM by buying him toys and games as a form of filling the daddy void. Keep him busy with things you already have and tell him stories about his daddy.

The three months we'll be over before you know it.

Best wishes, and tell him thanks from me for choosing to protect us all.

    -Mark
Hey, I know how you feel. My daughter was 1 1/2 when my husband joined the army. My husband was gone a total of 7 months for his BCT and AIT. It is not easy trying to explain to a child at that age why Daddy isn't there. My daughter would not go near the phone when he called but she loved to ';write'; letters to him and send him pictures of us. I framed a picture of him for her and she took it everywhere with her and even slept with it. Talk about your husband to your son often and tell him how much Daddy loves and misses him and that he will be home soon. Show him lots of pictures of your husband to and if you have any home videos play them, my daughter would get so excited watching ours.

As for how I coped, well that wasn't easy either. I cried a lot, and at first I was afraid to leave the house because I thought I would miss a phone call from my husband and that made me feel worse. Take your son to the park or the pool. Get out of the house as much as possible. Write your husband a letter every day, talk to him in the letter just like you were talking to him. I would tell my husband every thing I did that day. Visit family and friends as much as possible. Take lots of pictures so he has them when he gets home.

I know its hard, but its a big part of the military life and it does get pretty lonely at times. Just keep your chin up, an open mind and communicate with your husband. It does get better with time.

Good Luck to you and yours sweety! God Bless!

    *`喈溌?Army Wife*`喈溌? *`27麓*
Since you are still at home you should be spending as much time with family and friends as you can b/c you NEVER know where his next duty station is going to send you...could even be overseas when you dont want it to be....Take this time to have ur son and urself be as close and spend as much time as possible with ur friends and family! I know 3 and 1/2 months seems like forever but knowing that he was going to be military this is something you should have thought of and BOTh discussed before hand...I dont know what his job is in the military but sometimes he may be gone for much longer periods of time and without e-mail and everything else just like now.

For right now i would take pics of u and ur son and write him letters often to let him know that you are thinking of him and he is ur everything....Cause while you are still at ur home he is away from everything and everyone he knows and going thru a huge change! Not sure about what you can send a marine while in boot camp but maybe ask in a letter to him and then send him some of that stuff!

I knwo its hard but lean on ur family and friends. If you live by ANY type of military base try to go and talk to them about getting ur ID and if you have one already then maybe they will be able to direct you to the support Center.

Hope this helps....I am giving you my perspective from both having went to bootcamp myself and then after being stationed far from my family (overseas) meeting the love of my life and him being deployed with no e-mail, letters phone calls, or anything for months at a time due to what he was doing.

And i knew what he was doing and it was VERY dangerous so i was worried sick for long periods of time about what was going on...And i didnt have my family and friends close to just ';get away'; with....

If you ever wanna talk just shoot me an e-mail!
Well, If you live in base you could go to the family support group at fleet service. It sounds like you don't have family or friends near by it is ok though being there still there. Is going to get better when is in short duty stick around
If you keep telling the baby daddy is off and explaine what daddy is doing. Even though he's 2, he'll catch on.

Many years ago, I was a newly married marins wife. I found myself in the middle of the mojave desert alone! I learned to love it it though. It was tough. We didn't have kids, and I was very young and still in party mode, so every weekend it was a party at our house. I got tired of the hired prostututes for the other marines but i had no say in it. we couldn't afford our own home, so we had like 5 other marines living with us.

when they were off on their desert training, I found the peace was real nice! I also made friends with an old lady next door. she helped me in copeing.

make new friends, get a hobby, keep having fun with baby!!

It will be ok. If you keep busy, the time will fly!!
I'm in a really similar situation. I'm a new army wife. We got married at the end of December, and he left last week for basic training- three months, maybe a little longer. I'm not dealing with it so well myself, but I don't envy you with the 2-year-old and him gone. That breaks my heart. I wake up in the middle of the night and look for him for a few seconds before realizing he's in Georgia. I've gotten a couple of phone calls, and he's written letters that haven't arrived yet. Have you heard from your husband? Where's he stationed?
My husband did the same thing last year only he's Army. We also had a 2 year old that was completely lost. He even looked in the refrigerator. I made my son a little scrap book of daddy. I also got the plastic refrigerator picture frames so he could carry daddy around. When my husband called I would record a little of the conversation, even if it was just him telling me what they were doing (the phone calls are short and few) and that he was ok then I would let my son listen to them. Overall with Basic and AIT hubby was gone for 9 months. It's hard my advice to you is to set goals for yourself that you can reach. In the time my husband was gone I managed to lose 20 lbs, stop smoking, hold a 3.5 GPA in my classes, work teach my son his ABC's and how to count to 20. It's hard and you'll miss him. Write him lots of letters they'll love that. Only send pics you don't mind other people (IE drill sergeants) seeing cause they will look unless you print them off on regular paper. Take the time to improve yourself in any area you think you need to improve in. Try to get your son on a really good schedule that will help keep telling him daddy loves him. (My son thought daddy was mad at him for some reason) This can be a great improving time for both of you, as hard as it is take advantage and remember when you first get to live with him, it will be a little strange at first cause they become very independent so the adjustment takes a little time. Be patient and be proud

I need some advice, I'm want to get a new car. Here is my situation:?

I want to get a 2007 Dodge Caliber which is roughly 13,500-14,000 with taxes. I have a $3,500 down payment with no trade in.

Here are my current positives and negatives of my credit:

    I have 2 accounts that are ';good standing';

    1. Furniture -

I have had it for 1 year and 2 months and i've only been late

one time out of the 14 months i've had it.

My pay-off amount is: $411.00 right now

My payments are: $34.00 a month

    2. Television -

I have never ever been late with the payment. I have had it

since April 2007. They pay-off amount is $1,351.50 and I

have it on a 36 month term with payments of $41.22 monthly

My negative collections have been paid in full:

    -AT%26amp;T - $374.00

    -Dish Netowrk - $46.00

    -Tmobile - $476.00

    -Bank of America - $722.93

Lastly I have one ';Charge-Off'; for $36.00 which has been paid in full also.

Should I raise my down payment or keep it the same?

Should I pay off the furniture and then try for a car?I need some advice, I'm want to get a new car. Here is my situation:?
I just got an 07 cobalt without a co-signer after having a credit card for barely 2 months. I'm 19, pay rent also and have smaller bills but those do not always build your credit, and in my case they didnt. So if your credit is in shape as you say, Give Mccarthy auto group in Olathe, Kansas a call. I was financed through GMAC and drove off the lot within a few hours. As far as the distance thing goes, something ay be able to be worked out with GMAC to see if they have any lots near you. I'd start by calling mccarthy though because they have 'privelages' that other dealers dont.I need some advice, I'm want to get a new car. Here is my situation:?
first, just look at the title of your post.. it says ';I WANT';... that tells me you want a NEW car, not need a car...

You asked for advice, so here it is...

Don't buy a new car, take the money you have and put it towards your debts and drive what you have now..

    or

if you really NEED a car, take the money you have and buy a car out right.. it may not be what you WANT, but could be what you NEED...

    Just my opinion....

Auto finance is what I do for a living and this is more of a math problem then a credit problem.

The installment payments you are making are not high enough to qualify you for a auto loan on your own with any lender I have except one and you don't make enough money per month to qualify with that one.

So, you are going to need your parents to either co-sign or buy the car for you.
Pay off all debts before buying the car. It won't take long to save the money and you won't be paying interest to the other companies. I'm just guessing but you are probably paying in the high 20's or 30% in interest.
Yea, if your parents are willing to help that should be the better option. They should know more about this kind of purchase. One of the many things that many buyers do not consider is the running cost for the vehicle i.e. the total package.
Why not take that 3500 and pay off the other creditors, then save p for a down payment? Or pay off the other creditors and buy a cheaper vehicle.
Save your money. buy a use car
