I currently ride a pair of 2001 Dynastar Agyl Plus 170cm skis.
I bought them when I first started skiing.
They are a beginner/intermediate ski.
I am 6' tall and 160 pounds, an advanced/expert skier with 200+ days under my belt and am in desperate need of a new pair of skis. Right now I use my skis for everything; bumps, powder, ice, groomers, slush, chunder, moguls, trees, rock chutes, etc. You've heard of it, I've skied it on my skis and they suck.
I need new skis that are stable on high speed groomers, fast edge to edge, don't chatter, have a tighter turning radius than my current skis, lightweight, stiffer rather than softer, very maneuverable in tight trees, good on bumps and in the powder and I also don't really want to spend more than $300-$400. I want to buy 2005 or newer.
Advise me on some skis that would work in the above situations so I can go demo them.
Thanks!I Need New Skis and Advice?
You might want to refine your needs a bit for example a ski that is quick edge to edge and good on high speed groomers might not be the best in powder. Here are some skis that come close k2 recon,Volkl ac30,Volkl Mantra,Salomon xwing fury,Line Prophet 90-100.you might not be able to find these in that price range but it's a step in the right direction
Have fun with the demo'sI Need New Skis and Advice?
The best new technology out there is from Lib Technologies. It's called magnetraction and is amazing. The edge is wavy under foot so it has several biting contact points. The grip is unrivaled. It makes them very versatile, so that even a wider, powder ski can kill it on icy groomed runs and you can take them anywhere. Check out the freeride narrow *** snowboard. Yes, it is a ski, not a snowboard. They're not extremely expensive and well worth it. Here it is.

I had a pair of fishers that were really great. I think that you would be happy with them. I liked them over my dynastars, lines, and k2s.
The performed excellent.
Blizzard also makes a realy good ski. But they are pricey.
Also, your skis might just need a wax and sharpened. I guarntee if you havent bye now, the need it, really bad. It would make a world of difference in the ski themselves and its alot cheaper.
Good luck
