When all else fails...see outside help right?!
So, here is my dilemma...any advice welcome.
I went to register for college to earn a degree this time and backed out the day of orientation because I changed my mind about my major when I got there. I was going for degree in Social Work, then I thought, maybe I'll change it to Criminology, then I said nahhhhh...I'll change it to a degree in Nursing. Then I got so aggravated I told them I would make up my mind and sign back in for Spring Semester. I just can't decide what it is I want to do for the rest of my life. I'm 35 and trust me, I'm not getting any younger. My children are living proof to that. (smile)
I have went to school for EMT-B, EMT-I, EMT-P, Phlebotomy and National 911 EMS Dispatch. I like what I do, but yet it's not what I want to do for life. And I can't seem to get a job in Phlebotomy!!! No one wants to hire for that position unless you have at least 1 yr experience. I have worked in Human Resources, I've worked in plants, I've waitressed, but yet; I still don't feel like I have met my match as a person in the career that was meant for me.
So any help....please someone save me....
I love figuring out how things work. I insist on organization and cleanliness. I despise drama and gossip. I love helping people, especially children (preferbly babies and toddlers). Any advice on a new career?
Hi,
It's difficult to find the right one isn't it? I have a similar problem to you so have just started looking at some college videos that are proving very useful. They have lots of info and students opinions on best, cheapest etc. If you think they could be helpful to you too you can see them for free at http://www.free-college-videos.com
I hope that helps.
