Advice for going to a new school (8th grade) ?

My parents are divorcing, so I have to move to a new town, which means a new school for 8th grade. I'm SOOO scared! usually i'm shy in my own school, but i can't imagine going to a new school and even thinking about it scares me ): generally people liked me at my old school and i had a good amount of friends..i'm just scared that people will exclude me or something. i mean where am i gonna sit at lunch? any advice?Advice for going to a new school (8th grade) ?

i just graduated from 8th grade. I had to go to a different school for 8th grade too. Do not be scared. Look at it as a way to become a new person and be able to meet new people. But from my personal experience i was terrified also which was really dumb -_- when you first go to school dont act stuck up or snobbish BE YOURSELF


people will be attracted to you cause youre new and most people do want more freinds. Make sure you join a sports team or a club something that YOU enjoy doing. Remeber just cause your new doesnt mean people can take advantage of you. Try to be freindly and SMILE :D show them pearls hah people are automatically drawn to happy people, so overall just be nice, happy and be yourslef and you wont have any problems

I know exactly how you feel. When I switched from private school to public I was new and didn't know anybody. I made friends though. All you have to do is talk to people. Say hi and introduce yourself. You could compliment them on something. People like compliments but only do if you genuinely like something about their outfit or accessories. You could ask questions about the school like are the lunches any good or do they have any good clubs. Join some after school activities if they have any it's a good way to meet people. For lunch try to sit next to anyone who looks familiar and nice from morning classes or even your bus. If they exclude you then they're obviously not the type you want to be friends with. Maybe there are people in your new neighborhood who live next to you and go there. You can try and make friends with them if there are.
I just went through the same thing you are going to have to do last year. I thought about all the things u r saying now, and it turns out, that i didn't need to worry. normally, the school will give you someone to show u to all ur classes, and if ur nice, they will usually become ur best friend. And i wouldn't act kool, or lie about anything, cuz that will turn against you in the future. just be urself, and try to have fun, but don't act soo nervous. hope i helped!

theres always SOMEONE whos nice to the new kid. keep an eye out for the kid(s) throughout the day/classes who seem nice, or you want to get to know
it's ok im going to 8th grade 2 it's ok it will be ok
be yourself. be friendly and maybe you'll meet someone that will let you sit by them at lunch.
